This is the last entry for this page.
Friday afternoon Andreas decided that he wanted to go home, sleep in his own room and bed, be able to watch TV and play his beloved Xbox360 video games and connect with all his online friends again. We cleaned up the mess from our tree cuting exercise and weeding as good as possible and by 7 pm we were ready to roll arriving in West Dundee at 10:32 pm precise. This is a very good time specially as we had one stop to gas up the ‘Lawine”. Saturday evening Stephan came home from L’Anse on Lake Superior. So everybody is now back and we are all looking forward to Monday and Tuesday as Sylvia will be off this two days.

Sylvia left at 3 am this morning. She had to start work at 8 am. For me a lot of work had to be done on the farm. The grass had to be mowed. After more than a month it has grown to a level where it is difficult to cut it without burning the mowers belt. I also had to remove large trees that have fallen on our trail up to the ridge and then I had to organize an elevator platform to cut trees down which are threatening our electrical cables going to the trailer house and the barn. Of course all this work had been done over several days!! But best I let the pictures tell the story:
Genie-Boom is the probably unofficial name of this device, but at Neslon Agri-Center I was able to rent this with this name

- Operator Mark Hinkel!! He is my hunting buddy, but he also supervises my progress towards attaining the famous title hillbilly
Equipment maintenance is part of the 7 P’s

- It is not easy to find the way trough all this branches

- And now to the next tree, it is difficult to navigate the platform with all this electrical cables around!! But operator Hinkel, aka. Sheriff Hinkel has no problems…………..

- That’s how you feel after all this work……………
