Sweet Corn or Maischölbe (Swiss German)

My favorite variety is the bicolor, closely followed by the white sweet corn.

There are many ways of preparing the corn. I prefer it straight from the charcoal grill. The husks need to be soaked in water for a little while. Grill the corn for only a few minutes on each side and enjoy!

Another great and easy way to prepare your corn is boiling. After it’s been husked keep it in boiling water for 2-3 minutes, remove it and enjoy it with you favorite sauce or just old plain butter.

Corn can be easily frozen. Just prepare it with the boiling method, remove the kernels from the cob and put them into a zip lock bag. The baggies last for many weeks in your freezer. It is a great way to enjoy a small taste of summer during the cold months!
