Monday,\u00a0\u00a0June 13<\/span><\/span><\/h3>\n
Sylvia,\u00a0 Andreas and I (plus the dogs) left West Dundee very early for our hideout in the West Fork Kickapoo Valley. Andreas was eager to meet his friend Dylan in Westby and Sylvia and I had to take care of the property and start preparing the Travel Trailer for our trip west. For nearly two years we only used it stationary and I hoped not to find too many issues to get it ready again for the road. To test the unit we went to the beautiful Goose Island County Park in La Crosse (www.lacrossecountycamping.com<\/a>). Well some pulled out break wires and a leak in the plumbing was all. The leak I was able to fix myself with the tools of our friend Mark and the wires were repaired for $25. Not too bad after all. Hopefully that\u2019s all for the entire trip. Unfortunately Sylvia had to go back on Thursday because she had to work on Friday.<\/span><\/div>\n
The two boys are still enjoying Mark\u2019s houseboat and to fish the Mighty Mississippi. They will stay on their sandbar till Saturday. I will then pick them up and we will start our trip. Next stop Camp America in Sioux City\/Salem, SD.<\/span><\/div>\n

Our 12 Year old Travel Trailer, so far so good....<\/p><\/div>\n

We leave Salem by beautiful weather, next stop Badlands\/White River KOA. We arrive there after an uneventful trip through the vast grassland of South Dakota and an extensive restocking stop at Wal-Mart in Mitchell, home of the Corn Palace. (www.cornpalace.org<\/a>)<\/div>\n

Tomorrow we will enjoy the scenery of the Badlands National Park.<\/div>\n
